Cruise the Blues PreRide - 2005

For those of you who thought about staying away due to last year's jackhammer trails, you have nothing to fear this year.  The trails are as smooth as a baby's tushie.  When we rode the course it was a little damp and tacky; however, if it is at all dry the day of the race this thing is going to be BLAZING fast!  If you love a fast, smooth track loaded with roller coasters and very little technicals, you will LOVE this year's Cruise the Blues course.

I measured the course at 13.15 miles.  It is about half wooded and half field/pasture with NO cow trails to ride over.  Doug has worked very hard to clear away a great, great trail. It is almost all singletrack but wide enough for passing.

I tried to take a good variety of photos.. but didn't get many of inside the woods.  Doug has added a few miles of woods to the North and they are very very fun!  It is one, long roller coaster with a few log crossings and bridges thrown in.  It is very hard to explain how cool that section is.

If you want a fun ride, or to pre ride, the course will still be open this coming weekend (Aug 21).
