My Photography
I
took my first photography class, in college, during the summer of 1992.
I had always been the one who annoyed all her friends with her camera.
As soon as I finished that first class I was hired, as a freshman, to
take over the darkroom at my school. According to my standards the darkroom
was completely unorganized when I started. I immediately started cleaning
and reorganizing everything in the lab. When I was finished, I had the
"perfect" darkroom setup. I did most of the shooting and all
of the processing for both the college newspaper and the annual.
The following semester I was hired as the editor of the
annual. I edited two annuals, then in my last year of college, decided
to lessen the stress a little and move from yearbook editor to lab technician
for the photography class.
All through college I was the "Party Pic Chick."
I attended all of the fraternity and sorority parties, formals, and beer
busts. My favorites included the Delta Tau Delta "Roll in the Hay"
and the Kappa Sigma "Margaritaville" parties. I have so many
fond memories of these.
